تشييد فندق من القمامة!

Hello and welcome to BBC Xtra English!

Every year millions of tonnes of rubbish are thrown or left on beaches around the world.

This rubbish, or garbage is dangerous as it kills wildlife and pollutes the environment.

In order to bring attention to this danger and to try and raise awareness of the amount of rubbish thrown on beaches, a German artist has built a hotel out of rubbish!

H A Shult is the artist behind this new hotel which has been built in Rome, Italy.

He told the BBC that he wanted to make a dramatic statement about the rubbish humans throw away.

The hotel was part of a publicity campaign organised by a group called Save the Beach, which is an international environmental campaign group.

Shult's new hotel is made out of 12 tonnes of rubbish and has five rooms and all of the walls and the furniture are made out of rubbish.

Although many newspapers have written about the hotel, nobody can tell how many people will be trying to book a place in it.
