Today we talk about a rather special Valentine’s Day party.

Many people around the world are excited about Valentine’s Day and celebrate it with the ones they love.

This year a special type of Valentine’s Day celebration was organised in the Chinese capital city Beijing.

Like many other countries, China has an ageing population. But some of them complain that their children and grandchildren simply don’t have time for them.

So organisers brought together old and lonely people together to try and introduce them to other people their age.

They called it the Silver-Haired Valentine’s Day party which was attended by over 200 people.

Our reporter, Martin Patience asked one of the attendees what he was looking for in a wife.

The man, a 75 year old, told him that he wanted a woman to talk to and keep him company because he feels very lonely.

And an 81 year old woman told Martin that she was keen to find a husband who was healthy because she used to be an athlete when she was younger.

She also said she did not want an illiterate man.
