A off-duty paramedic was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car in Lancashire, police have confirmed.
Andrew Gibbins, 45, from Warton, died shortly after the crash in Ballam Road, Lytham, at 1550 BST on Wednesday.
He was riding a Ducati when it collided with a silver Lexus SL460 near the junction with Laburnum Avenue.
The 54-year-old driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail.
Mr Gibbins, who worked as a paramedic in Preston, lived in Warton with his wife, three children and parents.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
Sgt Rob Gomery said: "I believe that two cars slowed down to pass a pedal cyclist just before the collision happened and I would appeal for those two drivers and the cyclist to come forward as they could be key witnesses to the collision."
