A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and assault causing actual bodily harm.
It follows an attack on a 30-year-old man at Thames Court, west Belfast, on Friday.
A police spokesman said the victim had been stabbed in the throat and stomach with some kind of knife.
The teenager is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
