City Bees have been called to several swarms in Plymouth
People across Devon and Cornwall are being urged to report any swarms of bees they see in the region.
The honey bee is currently in the peak of its swarming season and several swarms have been reported in Plymouth in two days.
Bee Keepers from City Bees said they had been very busy.
Anyone who sees a swarm has been urged to contact the police, local authorities or beekeepers to prevent agitating the insects.
Tim Payne, from City Bees, said: "I'd like to ask people that, if they see a swarm of bees, not to panic, and to stay away from them, because they wont hurt you if you stay away.
"Give a bee keeper a call. There are a lot of new beekeepers out there who are just starting up, and if we can give them a swarm that would be brilliant."
