Houses are being built on the site of the Rosemount army barracks
There has been an arson attack at a new housing development in Londonderry.
Vandals broke into the site on the former Rosemount barracks and destroyed a mechanical digger and other machinery.
Sinn Fein councillor Maeve McLaughlin has been speaking to the contractors who said the repair bill would come to at least £30,000.
She said the attack was "unrepresentative of the local community".
