People should not approach James Robertson Rennie but call 999
Members of the public are being warned not to approach a "dangerous" man who has gone missing from a treatment centre in Dorset.
James Robertson Rennie, 31, must live permanently at the centre in Weymouth as part of the terms of his release from prison on licence.
He was given a nine-year jail term for burglary, attempted burglary and robbery against elderly people.
He has links to Brighton, London and is thought to have family in Scotland.
Rennie has been missing since Thursday afternoon.
Det Insp Guy Shimmons, of Dorset Police, said: "Rennie is a dangerous man and, because he poses a threat to the public due to the crimes he has committed, he must be caught as a matter of urgency.
"I am appealing for the public's help in trying to find Rennie and anyone who sees the 31-year-old should not approach him but immediately call the police by dialling 999."
