(Close):French shares ended down slightly in Friday's trading.
The benchmark Cac 40 fell almost 79 points to 3193.89.
Defense company EADS ended 3.8% up followed by Publicis, the media agency, whose shares finished 2.6% up.
But the market's main losers were Credit Agricole, whose shares finished 6.3% down, and power company EDF ended the day 5.6% lower.
