US Secretary of State John Kerry is delivering a speech to the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland.
On Wednesday, Mr Kerry took part in the opening meeting of the Geneva II talks on the conflict in Syria at the Swiss resort of Montreux, which saw acrimonious exchanges.
The first formal peace talks between the government and rebel delegations in the three-year history of the crisis, due to begin on Friday, were delayed.
