Sports Direct 'bugging' attempt 'totally bizarre' - MP

MPs on the Business and Skills Committee claim an attempt was made to record their conversations after a visit to a Sports Direct warehouse.

The surprise visit to the firm's Shirebrook warehouse was to check whether Sports Direct had improved employment methods.

Speaking to the Victoria Derbyshire Programme Anna Turley, MP for Redcar, called the attempt "totally bizarre".

The board of Sports Direct has denied knowledge of any attempt to bug MPs.

The Victoria Derbyshire programme is broadcast on weekdays between 09:00 and 11:00 on BBC Two and the BBC News Channel.
