Miliband defends Russell Brand interview

Ed Miliband has been defending his decision to give an interview to Russell Brand, who has in the past urged people not to vote.

The Labour leader said it was a way to engage with millions of people who are not usually interested in politics.

Prime Minister David Cameron denounced Mr Miliband's meeting with Brand as a "joke".
