New generation X-ray machine unveiled
Scientists in Germany and Switzerland have unveiled 3D imaging of a mouse bone fragment which is narrower than a human hair.
The images were generated using a prototype X-ray device which they say can bring unprecedented detail to X-ray imaging.
Visible inside the bone fragment are 100-nanometre channels which make up the interconnective network between bone cells.
