Man is remanded over murders of Avtar and Carole Kolar

A 37-year-old Lithuanian man charged with the murders of Avtar and Carole Kolar has been remanded in custody by magistrates in Birmingham.

The couple were found at their home in Handsworth Wood on 11 January.

West Midlands Police say they do not believe they were killed because their son is a police officer.
