The body was discovered at a market in Delhi, India
Police in India are treating the death of a British man whose body was found dumped in a market in Delhi as a possible murder.
Andrew Raymond Rodick, aged 40, had been travelling around the country on a tourist visa, police said.
His badly decomposed body was found wrapped in a plastic bag and bore injury marks.
A post-mortem examination has been ordered to determine the cause and time of death.
The police have not yet established where Mr Rodick was living in the city and are trying to contact anyone who may have been with him.
His passport was found badly damaged.
A spokesman for the Foreign Office said: "We are in touch with the Indian authorities and are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time."
