Bird flu at Yorkshire farm: Risk of spread 'quite low'
A case of bird flu has been confirmed at a duck breeding farm in East Yorkshire, officials have said.
The exact strain has not been established, but the deadly H5N1 form has been ruled out by Defra officials.
Speaking the BBC, chief veterinary officer Nigel Gibbens said that the risk of spread was "quite low" and that authorities would be working to discover the source of the disease to "eliminate further risks".
