Woman who killed her children was overwhelmed by her situation, solicitor says
The solicitor for a woman who killed her three disabled children has been explaining what led her to do what she did.
Tania Clarence, who tried to commit suicide after the killings, had been "overwhelmed" by her situation, he said.
Richard Egan read a statement outside the Old Bailey following the sentencing.
Tania Clarence had admitted manslaughter by diminished responsibility and has been sentenced to a hospital order.
