Dewsbury bomber: Imam attacks online 'brainwashers'
Leeds Imam Qari Asim has said that young people are being "groomed" online, following news that a British teenager reportedly carried out a suicide bombing in Iraq.
Talha Asmal, 17, is believed to have become Britain's youngest suicide bomber in an oil refinery attack south of Baiji.
Mr Asim said that radicalisation was not taking place in mosques but that young people were being "brainwashed" online by people for their own "political aims and gains". He likened the perpetrators to paedophiles who "groom the young individuals over time".
At least 700 people from the UK have travelled to support or fight for jihadist organisations in Syria and Iraq, with the majority joining IS.
