Michael Gove on 'antiquated' justice system

Michael Gove has used his first speech as justice secretary to criticise the "outdated" justice system in England and Wales for failing society's poorest.

He said the best legal provision was the preserve of the wealthy or international clients, while victims of crime were "badly" let down.

Mr Gove called for an overhaul of the system, which he said sometimes appeared to be stuck in past centuries.
