Co-operative customers possibly 'charged twice'

Thousands of Co-op customers who used their cards in the retailer's stores on Tuesday may have been charged twice, the chain has said.

A spokesman for the Co-operative said the error occurred on Tuesday, but was unable to say how many people were affected.

Those affected have been assured they will have their money returned directly to their accounts within the next 24 hours.

Judith Moritz reports.
