Mark Carney: 'Need for bank rate to rise'

Bank of England governor Mark Carney has indicated that a rise in record low interest rates will be on the agenda at the turn of the year.

Speaking at Lincoln Cathedral he said: "The need for bank rate to rise reflects the momentum in the UK economy".
