Police 'staff shortages' blamed in M9 tragedy
An independent review, set up after police took three days to respond to a fatal car crash, has found that there are "significant staff shortages" in police call centres in Scotland.
It recommends postponing the closure of two call centres until more staff are recruited and properly trained.
Lamara Bell and John Yuill were left after Police Scotland failed to respond to a 101 call reporting the crash because the details were not logged correctly.
