Virgin begins automatic refunds for train delays

For the first time in the UK, a system has been introduced to pay compensation automatically to rail passengers affected by delays.

Virgin Trains says its customers will receive money directly onto their payment cards within three days, if their journey is delayed by at least half an hour.
