Star Trek charity auction offers fans walk-on role
Star Trek actor Simon Pegg has chosen a Somerset charity which helps sick children to benefit from an auction to win a walk-on part in the new film.
Pegg, who plays Scotty in the films, has chosen Time Is Precious which provides play equipment and facilities for young patients and their families.
The charity was set up by Neil and Nicky Halford of Coleford near Radstock, Somerset, in memory of their son Ben who died from cancer.
It provides facilities at Bristol Children's Hospital, Bath Royal United Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital.
