A public inquiry has opened into plans to build 3,000 new homes in Buckinghamshire.

A consortium of Aylesbury College, the Fairfield Partnership and Taylor Wimpey want to build the houses between Weston Turville and Bedgrove.

Aylesbury Vale District Council rejected the plans but a final decision will be made by the planning inspectorate.

Hampden Fields Action Group is contesting the developers' plans.
