The bottom half of the bus was smashed when it crashed through fencing
Three people have been injured after a bus crashed through fencing on the Luton to Dunstable busway, an ambulance service spokesman confirmed.
The Centrebus service B was travelling towards the Downside Estate when it crossed the central reservation near Sainsbury's in Dunstable at about 14:00 GMT on Wednesday.
One man and two women were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Centrebus said it could not yet comment on why the vehicle had left the route.
A Luton Borough Council spokesperson said: "At this stage we cannot speculate on what has caused the accident."
The eight-mile (13.4km) mainly guided route along a stretch of old railway line from Luton to Dunstable cost £91m and opened in September last year.
