Mr Scott had a thick beard when he went missing
Police are trying to trace man who went missing while on a walk near his Berkshire home a week ago.
Brian Scott, 44, was last seen by his landlady at his home in Juniper Way in Tilehurst, Reading, on 30 December.
Pc Phil Eyles said: "Mr Scott told his landlady that he would only be going out for a couple of hours, but he has now not been seen for a week.
"He does not appear to have any family living nearby and there is no obvious reason for him to go missing."
Mr Scott is about 6ft, of medium build, with brown hair, a brown beard and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a checked fleece top, blue jeans and a black beanie hat.
