The puppy, Mika, was stolen at 14:00 BST on Thursday
A puppy worth £1000 was stolen from a 12-year-old girl on an afternoon walk, West Midlands Police said.
Ria Shaheena was pushed over and her dog, Mika, was taken in Reddings Lane Park, Tyseley in Birmingham, on 13 August at 14:00 BST.
The three-month-old Japanese Akita puppy was stolen by two men who drove off in a black Vauxhall Corsa.
"I was terrified. I did not know why they would do something like that", Ms Shaheena said.
She was not injured and police have appealed for information.
Nearly 700 people have joined a social media group Help Find Mika to reunite the puppy with Ms Shaheena's family.
PC Charlotte Chamberlain said: "I would like to reassure people we are already following up several lines of inquiry to identify the offenders.
"I would urge anyone who knows where Mika is now to do the right thing and come forward", she said.
