A woman has been robbed of £140,000 of business takings as she walked to deposit them at a Cambridgeshire bank.
The 67-year-old was walking along New School Road in Histon, on Monday afternoon when a car pulled up and a man got out and grabbed the money bag.
A blue Vauxhall Zafira was found in Cottenham and been seized by police.
The bag was later found by a member of the public with cheques and bank books inside but missing the cash. An unknown amount has been recovered.
A police spokesman said the takings were from a company, but could not give any more information
Police believe two men had been following the woman shortly before the robbery took place and got into the car being driven by a third man.
'Lone woman'
The three men have been described as white, wearing dark clothing and woollen hats.
Det Con Paul Evans, from Cambridgeshire police, said: "This appears to have been a planned robbery.
"The men targeted a lone woman and grabbed a bag they believed would contain a large amount of cash before making their getaway.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened, particularly where the men went after leaving the vehicle, to contact police."
