Killer's tears at 'last' message from Sameena Imam
A man who killed his lover cried to police as he read out a text message which he falsely claimed to be from the victim.
Roger Cooper, 41, of Coventry, already knew Sameena Imam was dead when he broke down during a West Midlands Police interview.
At Birmingham Crown Court, he was found guilty alongside his brother David Cooper, 39, of Leicester, of Ms Imam's murder. The brothers plotted together to kill her using chloroform.
At the time of the murder, Roger Cooper, who was the manager of Costco's Coventry warehouse, was also having relationships with two other women. Ms Imam, who was from Cardiff, was the regional marketing manager.
