A man and a woman have been released on police bail after a three-year-old girl was found roaming the streets of an Essex town on her own late at night.
A 37-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, both from Westcliff-on-Sea, were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of child neglect.
The couple have been bailed until 27 April.
The girl was found by a member of the public in Genesta Road, Westcliff, just before 2300 GMT on Monday, police said.
