Officers hope the pictures will jog the memory of people who saw Mr Attfield before his deathPolice investigating the murder of a vulnerable man who was stabbed 102 times have released three new images of him to try to jog witnesses' memories.
James Attfield, 33, who had a severe brain injury after being hit by a car four years ago, was found in Castle Park in Colchester on 29 March.
Police are treating the death as murder but have not uncovered a motive or found a weapon.
Officers say it is vital they piece together Mr Attfied's last movements.
Three men are being sought by police investigating the murderDet Ch Insp Simon Werrett said he hoped the pictures would "help people to remember whether they saw him".
"I am sure there is still someone out there who has information they are not sharing with police," he said.
Earlier this week the force released three e-fit images of men they would like to trace as part of the investigation.
Witnesses are asked to call Essex Police.
