Police released CCTV footage of the couple as part of the murder inquiry
A man and woman have emerged as key witnesses in a murder inquiry relating to the death of a man stabbed 102 times, police said.
The couple were seen on CCTV in a Colchester park hours before James Attfield was found dead on 29 March.
Police said there is a "strong possibility" they had earlier been on a bench yards from where Mr Attfield had been sitting on grass.
A man and woman, both 27, have been arrested in connection with the death.
Mr Attfield, 33, who had a brain injury after being hit by a car four years ago, had been to a pub the night before he was found dead in Castle Park.
A Crimestoppers reward of up to £5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
