Shots were fired at the windows of a house in Raphael Road in the early hours of Monday morning
Gunshots from a 4x4 vehicle smashed the front windows of a home in Essex early on Monday, police have said.
The attack was in Raphael Avenue, Tilbury, between Sullivan Road and St Chad's Road. The area was closed off after the incident at 12:35 BST.
Police carried out investigations but no-one was injured.
Witnesses reported "seeing a firearm discharged" from the rear passenger window of a dark coloured 4X4 vehicle which left the scene, police said.
DI Rob Huddleston said: "All the information we have at this time suggests this is very much an isolated incident and I would seek to reassure local residents that they are safe.
"We have some fast moving early investigations in place and are working hard to find the people responsible."
