A primary school teacher has been struck off after acting in an "inappropriate manner" towards three pupils over a 10-year period.
Steven Ockendon, from Colchester, Essex, contacted a former student on Facebook, inviting him to drive his car and "have a shower", a panel heard.
He was found guilty of professional misconduct at a National College for Teaching and Leadership hearing last month.
The 36-year-old denied the allegations.
Removing underwear
The panel heard that he started an "inappropriate relationship" with a pupil, known as Pupil A, at St Thomas More's Catholic Primary School in 2003.
Head teacher Bridget Harris said he would sometimes eat his lunch with the child and she found them sitting very close together in the staff room. When the pupil failed to show up for school, Ockendon sent a note to the office asking where he was, despite not being the child's teacher.
He also announced that he would resign unless he could teach the boy the following year.
Mrs Harris wrote to him about his behaviour and he resigned later that day.
The hearing was told that in 2007, the same pupil was a member of Ockendon's theatre company.
He asked the child to remove his underwear while trying on a costume and watched this happen, the panel learned.
Facebook messages
From December 2011, Ockendon taught at Fordham All Saints Church of England Primary School.
The panel heard that while there, he contacted Pupil C, a 16-year-old former student on Facebook.
He then sent messages saying, "dry yourself, put some clothes on", and "u cud come for the drive then lol and have a shower after… its still early haha pretty please".
He also allowed the teenager to drive his car - despite being under age - and admitted this to police.
Around the same time, he contacted a 14-year-old member of his theatre company on Facebook, which the panel said was inappropriate.
He "intentionally concealed" his previous resignation from his new boss, who dismissed him in July 2013, the hearing found.
The panel concluded Ockendon should be banned indefinitely without the right to apply for restoration of his eligibility to teach.
