Standards of cleanliness at the home have been criticised by the council
Police are investigating the death of a pensioner at a nursing home near Gloucester.
Leslie George, who was 84, died days before residents of the Uplands Nursing Home, in Maisemore, were moved out by the county council because of concerns over conditions there.
Police are working with the Care Quality Commission and Gloucestershire County council in their investigations.
The cause of Mr George's death has not been revealed.
An inquest into the death was opened on Tuesday and adjourned, pending the police investigation.
The 35 residents of Uplands were removed after a snap council inspection on 3 November found the home was breaking six statutory requirements.
Standards of cleanliness, medicine keeping and care plans were criticised.
No-one at the home was available for comment when contacted by the BBC.
