A 71-year-old man was assaulted in his Gloucestershire home by two masked offenders who fled with a large collection of antique coins.
The offenders entered the home in Little Witcombe, wearing balaclavas, at around 1930 GMT on 9 January.
Police described both men as white, one aged in his mid thirties and around 6ft (1.8m) tall and the other in his late teens and slightly shorter.
Anyone who has been offered any rare coins should contact the police.
The incident may be linked to a burglary in Abbotswood Road, Brockworth on 8 December.
