Former Bishop of Gloucester Michael Perham calls for law change

The former Bishop of Gloucester has called for a change in the law after he was investigated by police and the Church of England over historical sex abuse allegations.

The Right Reverend Michael Perham was never arrested or charged by police during the nine-month inquiry, and was cleared of any wrongdoing by the ministry last week.

He said: "Part of me thinks my name and those allegations should not have been bandied around on the national media."
