Joanne Williams appeared before magistrates in Cheltenham on Monday
A 51-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with murder after a man's body was discovered at her home in the Forest of Dean.
Joanne Williams of Meek Road, Newent, was arrested on Wednesday after police were called and found the body of Marc Hastings, 43, of Berry Hill.
She was charged with murder on Sunday.
Following an appearance before Cheltenham magistrates she was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday.
Gloucestershire Police referred itself to the police watchdog, the IPCC, following Mr Hastings' death as a result of previous police contact.
