An 18-year-old woman has been sexually assaulted while walking on Southampton Common.
The woman had just walked through an underpass to the common when she was attacked by a man near the junction of Burgess Road and Bassett Avenue on Monday afternoon.
The man was walking in the same direction as the woman when police said she heard him "mutter to himself".
He then pushed her in the back before assaulting her over her clothes.
Jogger appeal
The man fled when the victim screamed.
Police want to speak with a female jogger who ran past the scene of the attack moments beforehand.
They described her as white, female, aged 18 to 25, with brown-blonde hair in a ponytail.
The attacker is described by officers as white, aged somewhere between 50 and 65 years old, with grey, medium-length scruffy hair and of a "chunky build".
He was wearing a black or dark short coat, dark trousers and had an English accent.
