Woman released over Abbey House Care Home death

A woman arrested after the death of a 96-year-old woman at a Hampshire care home has been released without charge.

Ethel Joyce Baldwin died at Abbey House Care Home, in Netley Abbey, on 13 September 2014.

A 37-year-old woman was initially arrested on suspicion of murder, but the arrest was later changed to a suspicion of an assault.

Police said the woman will face no further action. The death is no longer being treated as suspicious.
