A man arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman was attacked on the Isle of Wight has been released without charge.
The victim, aged in her early 20s, was raped in the early hours of Sunday in Hunnyhill, Newport, police said.
Officers said they were treating it as an "isolated incident".
The man, who was arrested on the island, has been released from custody. He faces no further action and has been eliminated from enquiries, police said.
The said detectives were continuing to pursue several lines of enquiry and were examining CCTV footage, and analysing potential forensic evidence.
