Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by squirrels
Fire investigators believe that a barn fire in Herefordshire may have been caused by squirrels chewing through PVC coated electrical cable.
Hereford & Worcester Fire Service is now urging farmers to check for signs of rodent damage following the fire at a farm in Bircher on Wednesday.
No one was injured during the incident but the barn was destroyed in the fire.
Firefighters were first alerted to the incident shortly after 1000 GMT and were at the scene until the afternoon.
