Humber Bridge charity walk for giant mechanical dog

A giant mechanical dog has walked across the Humber Bridge to launch a cancer charity's fundraising campaign.

The Big Dog Walk was inspired by teenage cancer fundraiser Stephen Sutton, who died last year aged 19.

The 10ft (3m) tall beagle will tour the country visiting locations including Liverpool, Cardiff, Bristol and London.

Event organiser Debs Minns from East Yorkshire said Stephen Sutton was an inspiration to everyone.

"His wish to 'hug an animal bigger than himself' gave us the Big Dog theme for the walk," she said.
