A multimillion-pound training base for people to learn how to work at heights and in confined spaces has officially opened in North East Lincolnshire.
The Stallingborough facility includes a 17m-high (55ft) tower to develop skills needed for jobs such as working on oil rigs or fixing wind turbines.
It also includes simulators to train workers in lifelike conditions.
AIS Training, which runs the centre, said it would create up to 30 jobs and train more than 15,000 people a year.
The facility, near Grimsby, also features a climbing and rescue platform as well as a lifting and rigging workshop.
By next year, the company said it was hoping to start running courses on emergency sea survival skills using a huge pool that mimics the conditions of the sea.
The centre was providing "specialist skills training for the global wind, maritime, oil and gas, nuclear and heavy industry sectors", AIS Training said.
