A fire that damaged an elderly woman's bungalow in East Sussex is being treated as arson.
The woman fled the blaze at her property in Burwash at 23:00 GMT Monday and was treated in hospital for the effects of breathing in smoke.
Sussex Police said waste material near the property had been deliberately set alight.
Det Con Barry Chandler said: "The motive for this worrying incident has not been established."
