Kent Police say they are still searching for a man following a firearms incident in the Medway area.
Officers were called to the Swift Crescent area of Chatham, in Defiant Close, at about 14:00 GMT on Saturday.
Roads were closed and the force helicopter was used to conduct a thorough search of the area.
A spokesman for the police said roads had since reopened but the search for a man connected to the incident continued.
Residents had earlier been asked to remain in their homes and other people were asked to avoid the area.
The spokesman added that the incident did not suggest any specific threat to the general public as those involved appeared to have known each other.
Kent Police have urged the offender to hand himself in to the nearest police station.
