A Blackpool footballer has had a warrant issued against him after he failed to attend a court hearing.

Jeffrey Rentmeister, a defender for the Championship club, is accused of a drink-drive offence.

The 30-year-old, of Bailey Avenue, Lytham St Annes is alleged to have committed the offence on Corporation Street, Blackpool on 11 January.

Blackpool magistrates issued the warrant with bail for the Belgian-born player, who joined the club in 2014.
