One man was arrested following a police operation in Leicester to tackle knife crime in the city centre.
Officers arrested the 24-year-old after an airport-style metal detector arch was set up in Market Street and Humberstone Gate on Thursday night.
Six people were searched and a pair of scissors, three knives and razor blades were confiscated. Police said these would now be destroyed.
The man was given a police caution for possession of a bladed object.
