The suspect spoke with an Irish accent
Police have released an e-fit of a man wanted in connection with a racist attack in Leicester.
A man and a woman were walking along Martin Street with their child in a pushchair on Sunday evening when they were approached by two men.
The men subjected the couple to racist abuse before assaulting the man, police said.
The 29-year-old victim was treated at the Leicester Royal Infirmary for a minor injury.
'Extremely distressing'
The suspects are described as white, aged between 15 and 19, of slim build with pale complexions.
The e-fit is of one of the offenders who had pock-marked skin and was wearing a black baseball cap, white T-shirt, black or dark blue tracksuit bottoms, with a pullover tied around his waist.
He spoke with an Irish accent and was riding a small black BMX bike.
The second suspect was wearing a red hat, brown T-shirt and black trousers. He was riding a blue bike.
Det Con Andy Osborn said: "This was an extremely distressing incident for the couple in front of their young child.
"Leicestershire Constabulary will not tolerate incidents of this nature and can assure the public that a full investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators.
"We would urge anyone who recognises the image or knows anything about the incident to contact the police immediately.
