Lydia Spilner: Leicester hospital admits error over death
A woman says her 100-year-old mother was left lying in her own urine while on a ward at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The hospital has admitted failures in the basic care it gave Lydia Spilner.
The great-grandmother was taken to hospital with a chest infection but died four weeks later from dehydration.
Eleanor Garnier spoke to Mrs Spilner's daughter Nora and Sue Mason, head of nursing at the University Hospitals of Leicester.
